It started with the display of the original manuscript of “A Christmas Carol” at the Morgan Library and Museum in NYC, and then gave good details of how Dickens came to write it. Dickens had a messy life and was desperate to pay off debts incurred by his family. His Christmas tale of redemption was so popular that employers started to give their workers a day off on Christmas Day before it became law. Well done!
